July Wedding at Whitehall Columbia

We absolutely loved being part of Danielle and Chris' wedding day at Whitehall Columbia! Whitehall was originally built as a school, and still maintains some of it's original features from 1938, including the solid maple floor and original doors. The couple's ceremony took place in the 1921 chapel, which has 12-foot ceilings and gorgeous chandeliers. Cocktail hour was held outside on the lawn, surrounded by a 7-foot cedar fence, and the reception was held inside, in Whitehall's ballroom.

The wedding decor was very soft, and had a beautifully elegant and antique vibe. The color palette included gold, blush, peach, and shades of green. Oak & Honey Events designed and coordinated the couple's big day, and we couldn't be happier with the result!

We also received this sweet review from the couple on The Knot:

"I thought a wedding planner was a waste of money. I was wrong - Melanie and crew were worth every penny. Our wedding was exactly like what my wife pictured on Pinterest. We could not have done that by ourselves. Most importantly though, Melanie allowed us to enjoy our own wedding. When small issues arose during the rehearsal, ceremony, or reception, SHE took care of them. I did not have to. This freedom to enjoy our wedding was priceless. I highly recommend Melanie and her staff."
