A Joyful Summer Wedding at Truss Cleveland

A Joyful Summer Wedding at Truss Cleveland

Every wedding we plan is centered around a single promise: you come first.

Ellie and Sam’s July celebration at Truss Cleveland was a beautiful reflection of that philosophy — an entire day shaped by their priorities, their color story, and their desire for a celebration that felt modern, magical, and deeply personal.

From the earliest conversations, Ellie shared her love for bright, summer-kissed florals and clean, elegant design. Our role was to listen, guide, and elevate but never to overpower. Together, we built a wedding day that blended thoughtful organization with heartfelt intention, allowing the couple to stay fully present while we managed the details behind the scenes.

Honoring the Vision

Ellie gravitated towards delicate pinks, peaches, and coral tones, a palette that felt lively without losing its sense of refinement. To honor that vision, we collaborated closely with Molly Taylor and Co. to ensure every bouquet and arrangement complemented (not competed with) the natural light and airy architecture of Truss.

Paired with soft linens from BBJ La Tavola and warm, textural rentals curated through Aiden & Grace, we created a cohesive environment that brought Ellie’s color story to life with subtle elegance.

Support the Creates Space for Presence

Like many of our couples, Ellie and Sam wanted to feel at ease on their wedding day — supported, not steered. Our team focused on keeping communication clear, timelines smooth, and logistics quietly taken care of in the background.

This allowed them to savor parts of the day that mattered most:

  • A sentimental moment between Ellie and her mom before the ceremony

  • Meaningful vows exchanged at their church

  • Relaxed, joy-filled wedding party portraits among the trees

  • Soaking in the rooftop breeze at Truss as newlyweds

By taking on the minutia, we ensured Ellie and Sam could stay grounded in the experience rather than the logistics.

A Seamless Celebration at Truss Cleveland

Reception design was centered around creating an elevated yet comfortable guest experience, one that reflected the couple’s style but still felt inviting and organic.

Inside Truss, we layered:

  • Soft candlelight for warmth

  • Clean, modern lines from LiRent Events chairs

  • Elegant chargers from PR Rentals

  • Ambient lighting by Off Broadway Florals

Live music from ceremony to last dance helped shape the tone throughout the evening, creating moments that felt natural and connected.

A Celebration Built on Collaboration

At Oak + Honey, we believe that honoring a couple’s vision means honoring the full team it takes to bring that vision forward. For Ellie and Sam, that meant working hand-in-hand with talented partners and a vendor list filled with professionals committed to excellence.

Our role was to guide the process with empathy, communicate clearly, and create an atmosphere where every collaborator could do their very best work, all in service of Ellie and Sam’s dream day.
