The event was hosted by Old Carolina Barbecue, Oak & Honey Events, & The Piggery at Anna-Dean Farms. The Anna-Dean Farm is a historic farm in Barberton, Ohio. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and currently occupies 33 total acres. The original farm was the concept of the American Industrialist, O.C. Barber, who began purchasing land as early as 1900. The farm would eventually encompass 3,500 acres. Construction of the facilities began in 1907, but were carried out with more earnest in 1909, when Barber began constructing his 52-room Beaux Arts style mansion. This lavish barn was the last major barn completed on the Anna Dean Farm. The Piggery was built in 1912 at a cost exceeding $50,000. Adjusting for inflation from 1912 to the present, this would be like spending almost $2 million. It is the mission of the Barberton Historical Society to preserve the Legacy of O.C. Barber by lovingly restoring the existing buildings. Money from events at the Piggery go directly into preserving this historic treaure for years to come.
