Ashley + Michael’s warm and cozy Stonewater Golf Club wedding was truly a magical day. Our Ohio wedding planners loved working with them to plan a wedding that perfectly represented their love story.

The couple met each other at an indoor softball tournament but it wasn’t until 4 years later that they reconnected and learned they had much more in common than they thought. They quickly learned that they had mutual friends and relationships that meant they very well could have met 20+ years ago.

This couple’s favorite part of the planning process was seeing their vision come to life. Having a December wedding meant they wanted to have a warm, cozy, and welcoming environment. Stonewater Golf Club check marked all the boxes on their list including a fireplace and lodge-like feel. Ashley + Michael’s guests loved the food and atmosphere and gave praises to the welcoming environment. It is surely a ceremony and reception that everyone not soon forget.

The proposal story in Michael’s words:

The proposal started with "just looking" at an engagement ring with her sister in law, to actually buying it that same day. This was the weekend before our annual ugly sweater party.

The week before, I visited her siblings and parents and asked for their blessing.

The proposal was to happen at our white elephant gift exchange. Her niece was to hand her an envelope with a picture of roses at her grandmother's grave site (where I asked her blessing too) and just some minimal “I love you “ words since I doubted she would read them, and then the proposal and then fireworks when she said yes.

It went something like that but the fireworks went off first (at this point she knew), then the niece gave her the card and I asked the question which she obviously answered yes to.
