Pope’s Kitchen is a local company that specializes in creating high-quality artisan sauces, cocktail mixes and bar products, with an emphasis on preserving nature’s bounty. They have added their own modern and local twist to each one of their products, while still maintaining the historical integrity of the recipes. They also source their ingredients from fresh local sources, whenever possible.
A personal favorite among the Oak & Honey Events team is POPE’S Bloody Mary Mix! It’s packed with fresh, all-natural ingredients, and we believe it is truly one of the tastiest bloody Mary mixes around!
2. Popped! Popcorn
Located in Kent, Ohio, Popped! offers a wide selection of locally grown popcorn. They use the absolute best ingredients that Ohio has to offer, including Ohio-grown, non-GMO popcorn, local butter from Hartzler Family Dairy in Wooster, locally roasted nuts, and honey from their own backyard! Even some of their containers are made locally! All of their recipes are original, and they only use real ingredients. You can’t top that!
3. Honey from Brighton Wool & Honey Company
Brighton Wool & Honey Company is a small family business specializing in honey, wool and handmade soap! Their business is headquartered at That’ll Do Farm in rural Northern Ohio, about an hour south of Cleveland. Their raw, unprocessed honey is gathered from 30 hives of Italian honey bees, and retains all of the natural goodness and nutrients that the bees put into it. We highly recommend their honey to anyone looking to purchase locally!
4. Gift Trees from Arbor Day Foundation
One of our favorite options for guest favors are trees! Arbor Day Foundation offers the option of purchasing gift trees, which include a label that can be customized, and are a wonderfully green reminder of your wedding day that will last for years to come. These tree favors are great for your out-of-town guests, as they are small, and can be carried on board domestic flights! The gift tree tubes are also manufactured using 50% post-consumer recycled material and can be recycled with other plastics. Or even better – it can be turned into a bird feeder!
