Tabitha and Jacob’s Stunning Italian Tuscan Wedding

Tabitha and Jacob’s gorgeous Italian ceremony was no exception. Their destination wedding at a Tuscan villa allowed for an intimate guest list, with the Italian mountainside as a breathtaking backdrop for photos.
An Intimate Destination Wedding
Tabitha and Jacob’s romantic Tuscan nuptials started with a fun Easter proposal — after the egg hunt with Tabitha’s daughter, Jacob got down on one knee to propose as he opened up an egg that had an engagement ring in it. Meanwhile, Tabitha’s daughter filmed the whole thing; Jacob had clued her in earlier that morning and had included her in the proposal.
With the help of Melanie and our team at Oak + Honey, the couple escaped to Italy for a stunning Tuscan destination wedding. Our team worked with the pair to highlight what was most important to them — Tabitha’s two children who walked her down the aisle and gave toasts at the wedding (which she describes as her favorite memory of the day!)
The destination wedding meant a small, close-knit guest list that allowed more individualized attention, and lots of photos together of the bride and groom with their loved ones.
Vibrant, Striking Accents
Tabitha chose a warm, vibrant color scheme that brought out the beautiful surroundings. A long outdoor wooden table lined with a center display of tall candles, deep teal accents and lush, bold florals.
Guests gathered to dine in the villa’s garden, where the grassy courtyard and cobblestone paths created a fairytale-esque atmosphere.
The delicious Italian food was a highlight of the event, in particular the bar car — a vintage Italian car converted into a trendy bar for guests to order drinks from.
Sweet Moments with a Breathtaking Setting
The couple shared a tender moment while cutting the cake as they toasted with Prosecco and fed each other slices of cake as the sun set on the Italian countryside behind them. Afterwards, they danced together in front of the idyllic, light-yellow villa as their loved ones watched.
A celebration packed full of warm exchanges, elegant European touches, and picturesque Italian backdrops — it’s easy to see why it was everything Tabitha had been dreaming of for the past year and a half.
